Angular Hole-in-the-Wall Linear Gas Fireplace
The surround has a bold angular design that projects from the wall to create depth around the opening. This gives the fireplace a stronger three-dimensional presence and introduces a subtle reference to the proportions of a more traditional mantel, reinterpreted in a cleaner and more contemporary way.
A matt black interior helps intensify the ribbon flame, while a matching matt black decorative panel below extends the overall feature and reinforces the strong horizontal lines of the design. This lower panel can also be produced in a range of alternative metal finishes, allowing the fireplace to be tailored to the material palette of the wider interior.
Shown here as a gas fire, the design can also be developed as a bioethanol fireplace. The overall proportions, burner length and finish specification can all be adapted to suit the technical requirements and design intent of the project.
