This contemporary linear fireplace is shown within the dining room of a converted traditional barn, where the clean form of the fire provides a modern contrast to the building’s original character. Exposed timber beams, warm natural materials and brickwork retain the atmosphere of the barn, while the fireplace introduces a simpler, more contemporary focal point.

Shown here at 1.3 metres wide, the fire is built into a brick-clad chimney breast that connects naturally with the surrounding architecture. The texture and colour of the brick give the installation a more traditional appearance, allowing the modern linear fire to sit comfortably within the historic setting rather than feeling disconnected from it.

A matt black interior creates depth behind the flame and provides a strong contrast with the light limestone fire-bed decoration. The long dancing flame softens the clean lines of the opening and brings warmth and atmosphere to the dining space.

Shown here as a gas fire, the design can also be produced as a bioethanol fireplace where a gas supply or conventional flue arrangement is not suitable. Bespoke sizes are available up to 2.5 metres as standard, allowing the proportions of the fireplace to be adapted to both intimate rooms and larger open-plan interiors.
